Small crushed slate aggregate typically used as a general aggregate material in the construction of roadways, footpaths, bridleways and carparks, it also forms an excellent sub base on construction sites or when laying paving / creating hard standing areas. Although not marketed as a decorative aggregate product, this material has an excellent aesthetic appearance, which blends beautifully with the surrounding countryside.
The material has been championed by major clients such as Lake District National Park Authority, The National Trust, The Forestry Commission and other commercial trail builders for the creation of the many cyclepaths / footpaths which form a sustainable network of routes on a regional and national level.
MOT Type 1 is available in Blue Grey and Westmorland Green.
Grade approx. 30mm down to dust - 0.45 cubic metres per tonne when compacted.
Available in mini bags, bulk bags and loose bulk tipper loads.
